Modern society is increasingly dismissive of ageing and is distorted by the empty and pointless craving for eternal youth. It creates the illusion that people have unlimited time. My series „Wasted Youth“ illustrates the bizarre excesses of this zeitgeist. It shows a conglomeration of elderly ladies who, despite their old age, still want to live out their long-shifted desires for sexual attractiveness, maternity and youthful rebellion. And in the end the question remains: What is still age-appropriate today?
