A "narcissist" is a person who displays pronounced egotism, arrogance and selfishness. They are ruthless in pursuit of their goals.  They often overestimate their own abilities and are known for relentlessly showing off. Their vanity means they ignore or react furiously to any kind of criticism.  They also tend to lie - with the aim of getting attention or recognition and to get their own way. Thanks to social media, narcissists have unprecedented opportunities to project their image far and wide to gain the admiration they demand. This inspired me to write this series.
