My exhibitions
The primary themes she addresses in her work are the unconscious beyond any staging, femininity and its conflicts, facets and grey areas of sexuality as well as the strange and bizarre sides of life. Recurring themes in her art are the female greed for material values, sexual exploitation, youth mania, psychic states of emergency, fluid identities and feelings of strangeness.
01. Wasted youth
Modern society is increasingly dismissive of ageing and is distorted by the empty and pointless craving for eternal youth. It creates the illusion that people have unlimited time. My series „Wasted Youth“ illustrates the bizarre excesses of this zeitgeist.
02. Bizarre dreams
Dreams are usually remembered as "sensuous", "hallucinatory" events that seem real during the dream state. My immersion in the dream world has unlocked hidden features of my subconsciousness such as feelings, scenes, experiences, sensations - and even helped resolve conflicts.
03. Sextourism
Hunger is the strongest emotion humans can feel. But while some barely have enough food to survive, others are starved for only one thing: sex. And so they become a found food for each other. My series „Sex Tourism“ illustrates my look beyond the end of my nose at this unsavoury barter business that leaves millions of invisible victims in its wake.
